Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara – PT. Maju Jaya Medika, a medical equipment company, is committed to supporting public health. On April 30, 2024, the company had the opportunity to hold an eye health community service (baksos) at RS Mata Kartini Kupang.
This baksos aimed to provide free eye examinations to the public, especially those who have difficulty accessing regular eye examinations. In this baksos, PT. Maju Jaya Medika collaborated with a team of ophthalmologists from RS Mata Kartini Kupang to provide comprehensive and accurate eye examinations.
Advanced DRSPlus iCare Device for Better Eye Examinations
One of the highlights of this baksos was the use of the iCare TrueColor DRSPlus confocal fundus imaging device. This device produces detailed and color-rich retinal images, helping ophthalmologists detect a wide range of eye diseases more easily and accurately.

- Ability to scan through cataracts: Allows eye examinations for patients with cataracts.

- Fast, easy, and fully automated operation: Facilitates the eye examination process and minimizes patient discomfort.
- Stereo Viewer: Allows ophthalmologists to view retinal images in 3D, which can aid in diagnosing eye diseases.
- External Eye Photography: Allows ophthalmologists to take photographs of the outside of the eye, which can aid in diagnosing certain eye diseases.
- Remote Viewer: Allows ophthalmologists to view retinal images remotely, which can aid in telemedicine.
Thanks to the use of DRSPlus iCare, this baksos was able to provide significant benefits to the participants, such as:
- Early detection of eye diseases, so that they can be treated more quickly and effectively.
- Prevention of complications of serious eye diseases.
- Improved quality of life for people with eye diseases.
